◊ QuickConvert is a small freeware utility that converts integer values to different bases (decimal, hexadecimal, binary, octal or even a custom base between 2 and 32) or to an OSType (a sequence of four ASCII characters). The conversion may be signed or unsigned (you can always enter a signed value, it will be converted to unsigned if needed); the result may be interpreted either as a word (2 bytes) or as a long word (4 bytes). The Return and Enter keys start the conversion; Tab, shift-Tab and the four arrow keys have their usual meaning.
• NOTES
◊ Because it stores its settings into a preferences file in the Preferences folder, QuickConvert requires System 7.
• DISTRIBUTION
◊ QuickConvert may be freely distributed. If you like it, just send me a postcard from your hometown or anything else to show me where it has landed.
• VERSION HISTORY
◊ 1.02 - First public release in send-me-a-postcard-ware.
◊ 1.01 - Menus were added, but still looks like a quick hack.
◊ 1.00 - Written for my personal use only, sports a very poor interface.
• Watch out for my other shareware utilities:

- POWERCLICKS: Stop hating your PowerBook trackball or get your broken mouse back to work.
- TRAPPER: Take a close look at what's happening inside your Macintosh.
- B-PANEL: Add a message window to your system sound, or turn it off altogether.
- BLOOD: Have some fun with this messy, useless control panel.
- DBUGR: Break into MacsBug and get memory info with a mouse click.
• And for my AfterDark™ modules:
- FRACTALS (includes VIEWER and MOVER): images from the Mandelbrot set;
- VOICE WAKER: wake up your Mac with a voice command (or any other sound);
